sarah and i came across the win a home competition and decided last minute to put together a portfolio and enter the competition.

our bio looked a little like this " Aimee and Sarah both grew up in the city of Port Elizabeth but never knew each other until 2015 where Nelson Mandela University and interior design brought them together.

Aimee is 24 (well almost) and Sarah is 22. On the first day of lectures back in 2015 the

pair instantly connected and are now inseparable and have since been called out for

often wearing similar outfits (because, you know, they just think the same).

The dynamic duo graduated with their National Diploma’s in Interior Design at the

beginning of this year and are currently completing their Bachelor of Technology

degrees in Interior Design.

Besides all things design Aimee and Sarah share a deep love for afternoon naps,

clothing sales (where they sometimes buy the same items), Nando’s and of course tagging each other in hilarious meme’s on Facebook. The two are also guilty of procrastinating by spending hours on pinterest drooling over interiors and all things design related.

Both Aimee and Sarah share a passion for local design and have similar design styles

and beliefs, see the next page for a mood board of designs that inspire the pair. The

couple love design and feel the Win a Home reality show would be thee perfect way to

kick start their careers in a field they are so passion about.

[ P.S please pick Aimee & Sarah you won’t be disappointed ] "

we entered not expecting much from it as there is normally a large number of entries and just entered on a whim. to our surprise we received an email telling us we had made it to the audition/interview stage. with me being overseas it made things a little difficult so we had to set up a skype interview for the audition with sarah.

we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best after our audition had been done and started to think a little bit about possibly having to move to cape town for the TV series. we got excited !

unfortunately we didn't make it onto the series but everything happens for a reason.

i think it is always a good idea to enter competitions whether you think you'll make it or not, and if its' meant to be it will be.
