with the book almost complete it is time to source some paper. i am very particular (some might call is incredibly fussy) when it comes to paper. i prefer paper that has a specific look + feel and it is very important to me to make use of paper that is of a recycled nature.
i have used the VISI magazine's paper as a source of reference. i feel the type of paper used can definitely make an impact on the overall wow factor of a book
today i spent the morning at Antalis in Deal Party, Port Elizabeth finding out information on different papers and the best one to use for image prints and book binding.
i was so pleased to find a whole range of recycled papers available and not the traditional recycled paper we tend to think of - all thick and chunky.
the recycled paper is all FSC 100% recycled approved.
i have done some research on the FSC standards and i am pleased to say i will without a doubt be going for the recycled option (the recycled paper is a touch more expensive but i am willing to count my pennies and use product i feel good about) .
with the amount of paper i have consumed within the past four years i think it is only fitting to make use of recycled paper. i strongly feel all business and universities should consider making use of more recycled paper !
i think my most favourite part of the entire year has been creating the book that will get printed and published after the final portfolio. i really enjoy creating neat little graphics to accompany the information, i just find it fun for both me and the reader !

i will hopefully get some time next week to go to the prints to do some test prints on my chosen paper.
i can't wait to see the final outcome of my book !
