furniture find

during so research for ideas on what kinds of finishes and materials that i would like to incorporate into my design i stumbled upon these really cute chairs (i am assuming for children).

my initial reaction was "CUTE" but after some thought i decided it wasn't a chair fit for my community centre, as i want to incorporate hand made craft deigns as well as locally made furniture pieces. i later thought that i could possibly manipulate the design of the chairs and use the concept of them to create animal diving blocks in the learn to swim centre.

children can become apprehensive when first learning to swim so these blocks could help shake the fear.

more development of the diving block idea will commence in semester two where we will focus on details as well as product design.
