floor design detail

the next design brief was to detail 5 design elements within our interior spaces.

in my community center recycling and turning everyday "trash" into beautiful interior pieces. taking a variety of plastic bottle tops all shapes and sizes and setting them into concrete for a unique floor finish. an epoxy finish will need to be placed on top of the bottle tops to make a smooth even floor finish.

i designed an organic pattern on the floor to create an interesting detail. the floor design will be a combination of recycled timber, concrete and plastic bottle tops.

i love this way of recycling an every day waste into something beautiful.
