Abantu Community Centre.

Through the development of the branding, identity and the corporate culture the name for my community centre has changed from the Walmer Community Centre to the Abantu Community Centre.

ABANTU meaning: "people coming together".

This past week for design class was all about identiy and branding of our proposal. My design has changed to a more earthy colour scheme to tie in with the location of the building and it's surroundings.

The logo has also been adapted to tie in with the new colour scheme.

" People coming together "

The logo design is based around the community coming together to improve their skills and the overall wellbeing of the community.

• the circular shape of the logo represent unity

• the house like shape replacing the second "A" in the word Ababntu represents a safe space for the community to gather in

• the overlapping of various shades of different sized hands represents the community of all ages coming togther to build a better future for the community.
